Pathfinders Training Opportunities
Here at pathfinders we pride ourselves on the exceptional training packages we offer, we encourage staff to take up training that will help them become registered professionals.
The journey begins with our one week induction programme where new recruits will complete all mandatory training while getting to know the workings of each of our disciplines within the home and having the opportunity to meet some of the patients they will be supporting.
There will then be a 6 month probation period. During this period the new recruit will have a buddy who will support and guide them through their probation. We would expect the new recruit will complete their care certificate within the probation period with the support of our training officer and care managers.
We actively encourage progression which supports our staff to move away from Real Living Wage and therefore following completion of the care certificate staff have the option to undertake training in the safe use and administration of medication this is known as our bronze passport.
Moving forward staff will be given further training to gain skills and competencies in caring for patients with respiratory conditions this is known as our silver passport.
If the staff wish to continue with gaining new skills we offer training which requires a higher level of clinical skill. This is known as our gold passport.
In addition to our training packages we also support staff with the fantastic opportunity to undertake a
nurse associate course with Lincoln University whilst remaining at work earning a good wage.
Our training package do not only benefit the staff in gaining new skills but ensure our patients receive
the best in person centred care.
